Open Spaces completed a Landscape Character Assessment for this 0.67 hectare plot located to the northern edge of Walton-on-the-Naze.

The site lies within a Coastal Protection Belt and between two distinct character areas – Brightlingsea-Clacton-Frinton Coast and Hamford Water. Three landscape character receptors were identified within the report: The Naze, Agricultural Fields and Urban Fringe.

With the proposed development taking the form of partial infill, mitigation requirements identified included native hedgerows to increase the biodiversity of the site and reduce any negative impacts.
